The San Diego LGBT Community Center provides safe and affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ youth through its Hillcrest Youth Center (HYC) and South Bay Youth Center (SBYC). These centers offer drop-in support, social meet-ups, and resources for youth aged 10-24, as well as programs focused on gender identity, mental health, and community building. Services are tailored to support LGBTQ+ and nonbinary youth, including those living with HIV.
Both centers offer weekly social groups, book clubs, peer-led discussions, and health services, including free HIV testing for young adults. Community days, crisis support, and guided tours provide additional ways for youth to connect and access vital resources. The San Diego LGBT Community Center continues to be a pillar of support and advocacy, ensuring that all LGBTQ+ youth feel valued, empowered, and supported.
