The Pacific Center for Human Growth, founded in 1973, is the oldest LGBTQIA+ center in the Bay Area and the third oldest in the U.S., offering a unique sliding-scale mental health clinic for LGBTQIA+ and QTBIPOC individuals and families in Alameda County.
With a mission to improve mental health and well-being, it provides culturally responsive therapy, peer support groups, youth programs, and specialized support for LGBTQIA+ adults over 50 and HIV+ individuals.
The center prioritizes social justice, trauma-informed care, and accessibility, serving over 3,000 people annually and supporting Bay Area organizations with LGBTQIA+ training and consultation services.
