Queer Arts Center

The East Bay LGBTQ+ Healing Arts Center, also known as The Queer Arts Center, is a collaborative, community-focused space in Oakland, California.

Established by and for QTPOC (Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) artists, the center supports marginalized LGBTQ+ creators through art, wellness workshops, performance spaces, and community events.

Founded as Spectrum Queer Media in 2009, it evolved to The Queer Arts Center in 2020. With a mission to promote health equity, creative innovation, and LGBTQIA+ advocacy, the center offers resources like the Miss Major Griffin-Gracy Art Gallery, the QTea Room, and the Black Trans Legacy Archive, celebrating Oakland’s LGBTQ+ heritage and legacy.
