This group is a diverse and vibrant badminton club consisting of approximately 30-35 members, ranging in age from 25 to 70 years. It's a melting pot of individuals from German-speaking Switzerland, Romandy, and overseas, encompassing various skill levels. They meet every Wednesday and Thursday for games, communicating in German, French, and English.
The group doesn’t follow structured training sessions; instead, they focus on informal, personal coaching provided by the more experienced members. The emphasis is on free play, where everyone gets to play against each other. The primary goals are fun (there's a lot of laughter) and physical activity. Regular participants can expect to see significant improvement in their skills and enjoyment of the game. For those interested in competition, there are opportunities to participate in LGBTI tournaments both in Switzerland and internationally.
Mario is the go-to person for more information about the group. It’s recommended to inform him in advance of your visit so he can provide practical information.
When and Where:
Newcomers can drop in once or twice to get a feel for the group without any obligation. There’s no cost involved! They eagerly anticipate new visitors, who might also find themselves thoroughly captivated by badminton.
