Stockholm Frontrunners is a sports club for the LGBTQ+ community and friends, offering running and walking training sessions twice per week. The club meets at Zinkensdamms IP on Södermalm and provides training options for both beginners and more advanced athletes. Members have the option of participating in either interval training or endurance runs. In addition to exercise and training, the club places a strong emphasis on social community, providing a supportive environment for members to connect and build relationships.
Membership costs 300 SEK per year, payable through Swish or Bankgiro, and non-members are welcome to participate in three training sessions for free before committing to membership. Training sessions occur at 7pm on Tuesdays and 10:30am on Saturdays and last approximately one hour. The meeting point is Zinkensdamms IP, Ringvägen 16 unless otherwise announced.
Stockholm Frontrunners was established in 2013 and has since grown to over 200 paying members and several supporting members. Many members regularly attend training sessions at least once per week, with occasional excursions to Hellasgården or Frescati. The club is easily accessible by taking the red subway line to Zinkensdamm or bus 4, and meeting takes place at the entrance closest to the Zinkensdamm subway station. The club's focus on exercise, community, and inclusivity make it a great choice for anyone looking to improve their physical fitness and connect with like-minded individuals.
