Boramosa is an Italian organization based in Padova that provides support, information, and advocacy for LGBTQ+ migrants who have faced discrimination, including homophobia and transphobia, in their home countries.
Named in honor of South African activist Simon Nkoli, Boramosa emphasizes inclusive, non-judgmental support through participatory activities and aims to create safe, culturally sensitive spaces for LGBTQ+ migrants.
Founded as an informal group in 2017 and officially registered in 2019, Boramosa also helped establish the “Mariasilvia Spolato” Anti-Discrimination Center in Padova in 2022, strengthening local resources for migrant integration and LGBTQ+ rights.
