Trixie is a new gay bar/lounge/nightclub opening on December 1st 2023 in Copenhagen at Studiestræde 5. It's co-founded by Joakim, known for SIX and GAG parties.
Trixie boasts a large outdoor terrace with a bar, music, DJ, and ample seating. Inside, there's a cocktail bar and a dance floor for shows and events. While distinct from Joakim's other ventures, Trixie will offer different concepts, transitioning from a cocktail bar to a nightclub.
The style is somewhat inspired by Joakim's previous club, WONK, in Malmö. SIX, another of Joakim's establishments, will continue operating with some changes, like relocating its drag shows to Trixie. Trixie opens with a limited operation on its first weekend, featuring Vanity Vain from RuPaul's Drag Race. The club is named after Trixie from Drag Race, continuing Joakim's tradition of naming venues after drag figures.
