Marks Park in Tamarama is set to host the Bondi Memorial Project, honoring LGBTQ+ individuals targeted in homophobic attacks from the 1970s to 1990s in Sydney.
Urban Art Projects (UAP) has been commissioned for the project, and their concept design, "Rise," featuring a six-level stone terrace representing the pride flag, has been selected.
The memorial aims to embody principles of remembrance, diversity, inclusion, justice, and acceptance.
