Adelaide Leather & Fetish (AL&F) is a South Australian community organization dedicated to leather and fetish enthusiasts. Originally founded in 2016 as Adelaide Leathermen, it was created to revive a formal leather social group in the region. The group rebranded in 2018 to be more inclusive of the broader fetish community.
Key Events & Initiatives
• GEAR’d: An annual, all-inclusive leather and fetish event weekend featuring community gatherings, title competitions, and dance parties. First held in 2017, GEAR’d has become a major event in the Australian kink scene.
• Title Competitions: AL&F hosts several leather and fetish titles, including:
• Mr Adelaide Leather (est. 2016)
• Ms Adelaide Leather (est. 2018)
• Adelaide Rubber (est. 2021, Australia’s first non-gendered rubber title)
Community & Representation
AL&F has been at the forefront of fostering inclusivity within the kink and leather community, with strong representation from trans and gender-diverse individuals. The club was the first in Australia to have both a transgender president and vice president serving together.
Mission
AL&F is committed to creating a welcoming, sex-positive, and supportive environment for all kinksters, whether experienced or new to the scene. It champions visibility, education, and social connection while actively working against stigma and kink-shaming.
